About
The L3S Research Center, founded in 2001, develops methods and technologies for digital transformation and researches the effects of digitalisation. It derives options for action, recommendations, and innovation strategies for business, politics, and society.
The L3S is internationally renowned for its research of artificial intelligence and the development of application-oriented AI methods of production, mobility, medicine, and education.
The L3S is a joint institution of Leibniz Universität Hannover and Technische Universität Braunschweig. Currently, it has 32 members who are professors from different disciplines and universities. A total of more than 150 scientists work at the research centre, including many doctoral students who are supervised according to the L3S Mentoring Guidelines. The L3S annual budget is around 14 million euros.
