Founded in 1959, with offices in Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Salvador, Goiânia and Recife, it has representatives with the Federations of Industries in several states. More than a class entity, SINICON is a fundamental instrument in representing companies that operate in the sector and that play an important role in the consolidation and expansion of the physical infrastructure of the country. The activity of Heavy Construction-Infrastructure - CNAE 42 and 43, accounts for a significant portion of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It is one of the most important Brazilian business segments, promoting technology, exporting services and generating millions of jobs. SINICON has expertise and an important track record in dialogue with worker-representing entities, in collective labor negotiations, in providing support related to the interaction of companies and workers, especially due to the prerogatives it holds and its presence in different Federation Units. SINICON has the power of judicial and extrajudicial representation of its Associates. As a technical and advisory body, it is an entity accredited by the Houses of the National Congress to technically support the formulation of legislation relevant to the heavy construction-infrastructure activity, as well as to present proposals and suggestions for improvement.
