Fundado em 1999, o Festival do Rio - Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival tornou-se um dos principais eventos de cinema na América Latina, apresentando por ano mais de 200 filmes em diversas salas pelo Rio de Janeiro.
Em seus 25 anos, o Festival já trouxe ao Brasil diversos talentos como Louis Malle, Dario Argento, Masahiro Kobayashi, Stephen Frears, François Ozon, Luca Guadagnino, Helen Mirren, Isabelle Huppert, Samuel L. Jackson, Forest Whitaker, Ricardo, Darín, Willem Dafoe e muitos outros.
O Festival do Rio é acompanhado pelo RioMarket, setor de mercado do festival e uma grande parte do evento, que reúne profissionais das mais importantes empresas nacionais e internacionais da indústria audiovisual com a relização de seminários, workshops, rodadas de negócios e sessões de mercado.

Created in 1999, the Festival do Rio - Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival has become one of the main audiovisual events in Latin America, presenting over 200 films from all over the world, and spreading in several screens over the city of Rio de Janeiro.
In its 25 years, the Festival has brought to Brazil talents such as Louis Malle, Dario Argento, Masahiro Kobayashi, Stephen Frears, François Ozon, Luca Guadagnino, Helen Mirren, Isabelle Huppert, Samuel L. Jackson, Forest Whitaker, Ricardo, Darín, Willem Dafoe, amongst many others.
The Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival also holds the RioMarket, the Festival's business sector, a strong feature in the event, which draws upon professionals from the most important national and international production companies and industry players to participate in seminars, workshops, business meetings and screenings.
