About
We are an Agribusiness company dedicated to the production and integrated marketing of fine flavor cocoa.
Thinking about its sustainability and greater profitability for the shareholder, the Colombian cocoa company - CCC has defined a long-term strategy based on 3 pillars:
1. Integrated production: Production of cocoa from own plantations and in third-party plantations through the development of ecosystems.
2. Production of fine cocoa and origin: Focusing on the niches of greater growth and greater value in the market through a differentiation strategy supported on the quality of cocoa and the sustainability of its production chain.
3. Post-harvest centralized plants: with the objective of standardizing the fermentation process and thus the quality and traceability of the product.
There will be a centralized benefit plants, strategically located in places that allows processing the own grain and the grain produced in the plantations of third parties in all around the influence areas, first in Santander, Antioquia and Sierra Nevada.
The Colombian cocoa company develops its Project in Hacienda Montescuro, currently has 650 hectares established, complying with the budget in phase 1 of the business plan, with more than 800.000 cocoa plants, 400.000 Gliricidia sepium plants (Temporal shade) and 40.000 Cariniana pyriformis plants (Permanent shade).
The development of the plantation has been carried out with a social intervention in the communities of the area of influence, thus becoming the company as the main source of employment for nine communities in the region. It is estimated to exceed 1,500 tons of dry cocoa per year in the 650 hectares of crops, for which a drainage network with 262 kilometers of collector and internal batch channels and a road infrastructure of bridges and roads has been established in 137 kilometers in valleys and foothills of Hacienda Montescuro.
