About
BISS (Brightlands Institute for Smart Society) applies Maastricht University's academic knowledge and expertise in data science to real-life societal and business challenges. Set up by Maastricht University and co-funded by the Province of Limburg and APG, we are located on the Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen, the Netherlands.
BISS connects all Maastricht University faculties in one team: Science and Engineering (FSE), Business and Economics (SBE), Law (LAW), Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (FHML), Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN), Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS).
BISS' mission is to empower people and organisations through the socially responsible application of digital technologies.
