Het WEC wordt een uitnodigend baken voor bezoekers, gebruikers en passanten. Een nieuw centrum gewijd aan het UNESCO Werelderfgoed Waddenzee, het grootste droogvallende getijdengebied ter wereld. Ons duurzame en iconische gebouw in te haven van Lauwersoog opent in 2025. Jij als bezoeker vindt er zeehonden die er tijdelijk worden opgevangen, labs van onderzoekers, een café en restaurant met duurzame lokale producten en een interactieve experience over de unieke natuurwaarde van de Wadden. Internationale studenten, onderzoekers en ondernemers werken hier aan een gezonde Waddenzee en duurzame toekomst voor mens en natuur.

The World Heritage Centre Wadden Sea will be a centre dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage the Wadden Sea. The sustainable and iconic building in the harbor of Lauwersoog is planned to open in 2025. During your visit, you'll encounter rehabilitating seals, labs for researchers and an interactive experience about the unique natural value of the Wadden Sea and the ecological challenges we face.
