Als gemeinnütziger Verein setzt sich der DeFAF e.V. dafür ein, dass die Agroforstwirtschaft als nachhaltige Landnutzungsform in Deutschland verstärkt angewendet wird. Dafür möchte der Verband über die vielfältigen Vorteile für Umwelt, Klima und die landwirtschaftliche Praxis durch Informationen und Bildungsarbeit aufklären und den konstruktiven Austausch zwischen den verschiedenen Akteuren unterstützen.
