About
The Marion I. & Henry J. Knott Foundation is a Catholic family foundation committed to honoring our founders' legacy of generosity to strengthen our community.
Henry and Marion Knott were incredibly dedicated to two things: their family and their surrounding community of Baltimore. In 1977, they started the Foundation as a way of joining their two passions.
Since our founding, we have awarded more than $70 million in grants to nonprofit organizations throughout central and western Maryland. Today, we award approximately $2.5 million in grants each year across five program areas arts & humanities, Catholic activities, education, health care and, human services.
Our work in these areas includes three distinct funding opportunities General Fund Grants, Cash Flow Loans and, Discretionary Grants
