About
Hope Dealer Community 501(c)(3) through The Hope Resource Center provides compassionate care and a safe haven for our brothers and sisters living in the streets battling addiction, forced prostitution and homelessness. The HOPE Resource Center also provides screening for risk of overdose treatment, referral and linkage to mental health resources, medication-assisted treatment, benefits coordination, HIV & hepatitis testing along with medical and vocational referrals. We also offer weekly recovery support groups conducted by trained staff in trauma and addiction therapy.
The Hope Dealer Community's purpose is to create a Community of Mutuality with all our brothers and sisters on the street. A community of mutuality is defined as a sharing of a feeling or relationship directed by each other, toward each other. Others' well being becomes as important as one's own. Empathy and concern flow both ways and as a result, the sense of separateness goes away. In a community of mutuality, there are no labels. There is no one outside the circle and therefore there are no fringes. There is no ‘us' and ‘them'. There is only ‘us'. In our community of mutuality, we are here to listen, to receive each other, and to value each other.
