DPA Specialist Consulting Engineers is a multidisciplinary consulting practice comprising Civil Engineers, Materials Scientists, Remedial Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Coating Inspectors and Contractual Consultants.

DPA provides a wide range of consulting, research and design services in all areas of construction technology. DPA also provides services in construction materials evaluation.

The Company is represented in project dependent satellite offices throughout Southern Africa with its Head Office located in Gillitts, Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Since its establishment in 1981, DPA has served thousands of clients throughout Southern Africa and has also provided its problem solving abilities to Clients in the Middle East and our growing National and International client base can be attributed to a professional approach to contractual issues, an advanced knowledge and understanding of materials technology, superior technical ability and rapid response to Client requirements.

As a leading practice involved in investigations and failure analysis, DPA believe that synergy is achieved by combining the relative strengths of Engineers, Scientists, Quantity Surveyors and Accountants. Fundamental financial issues are always considered when investigating and solving key engineering problems such as:

 "Are the specified materials and systems an appropriate solution"?
 "What has caused the structure to deteriorate"?
 "What are the repair options"?

One of the more complex specialist services that DPA provides is the analysis of failure and the apportionment of responsibility. Members of the DPA team are frequently called upon to provide expert witness testimony in cases involving the recovery of damages from defaulting parties.
