Das Tissot Velodrome ist das Nationalstadion des Schweizer Radsports und die Ausbildungs- und Trainingsstätte zukünftiger und amtierender Radsporthelden. Der Zweck ist die Förderung des Radsports in der Schweiz.
Das Tissot Velodrome ist aber auch Eventlokalität (bis max. 4000 Personen) für kleine und grosse Anlässe aus Wirtschaft und Kultur, und ein idealer Ort für Messen und Generalversammlungen. Es vereint eine 250m lange Holzrennbahn, ein Innenoval mit Dreifachsporthalle, das Restaurant Velodrome mit 14 Hotelzimmern, das Radsportgeschäft Velo-Art, die Büros von Swiss Cycling sowie das öffentliche Fitnesscenter 4training unter seinem Dach.
