Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete Ltd (CRMC) was formed in 1962 as a division of Transport North Canterbury Ltd. Transport North Canterbury was originally founded in the 1930's by Mr R G Grant. In 1985 his sons, Bob and Roly, purchased the ready mix concrete, shingle, sand supplies and contracting divisions. Since January 2005, the company has been wholly owned by the Estate R L Grant. The company currently operates through a Board of Directors and a Chief Executive.
