Acumen Chemicals was formed in 2017 specifically to provide chemicals like coagulants, polymers and flocculants to the Water and Waste-Water Industries. These chemicals are supplied to customers enabling them to treat their water achieve Blue Drop and Green drop level of water quality. The chemicals are manufactured in Centurion and carry NSF certifications, which ensure the client of the highest quality products.



Professional Laboratory Services was bought in 2010 to provide other chemicals and laboratory analyses and equipment. Because of the nature of services and products provided a close relationship developed between the Professional Laboratory Services and Acumen Chemicals. The companies sought a means of addressing the market requirements more holistically and approached various experts and appointed them as heads of the various divisions, it was in the later part of 2019 that the companies started exploring the option of merging to become the Acumen Group of Companies and since the 1st of June 2020 boast a national footprint and a diverse solutions offering.
