About
3Bird - Consultants and specialists in the field of radar surveys of migratory birds and bats in offshore and onshore wind farms sites.
The 3Bird team performs a full range of bird migration survey of migrating birds and bird movements between feeding and wintering grounds. Customers present their plans and assumptions. The 3Bird team performs comprehensive assessment within the following scope of work:
• provision of radar systems Robin Radar along with the proprietary adaptive system 3BROS (3Bird Radar Offshore System),
• provision of radar ornithologists and radar analysts
• conduct research at sea
• conduct collision analysis of migrating bird with planned wind farms and other analysis required to generate an EIA
• preparation of reports on the impact of offshore wind farms on migratory birds (EIA).
Our many years of experience in conducting radar bird migration research and developing the 3BROS system, based on land ornithological radars enable us to effectively implement our services also with the highest, acceptable methodologies, sea wave heights (up to 2 m of Hsig wave height) on 30-40 m long research vessels. This feature of the radar system gives great opportunities for research to be conducted in 14-20 days on the waters of the Baltic Sea.
This radar systems quickly adapts to any type of research vessel.
