HOSI Salzburg

About

We are the initiative for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people in the city and state of Salzburg, bordering Bavaria and Upper Austria, and have been campaigning for social acceptance and legal equality since 1980. We advocate that homosexual, bisexual, transident and intersexual people can lead their lives fearlessly and with dignity, self-confidently and self-determined. First and foremost, we provide a room for the gay and lesbian population as a meeting point, information, advice and contact point for all questions relating to gay and lesbian life. In addition, we are of course also available to all other interested parties. We create offers and structures that are as easily accessible for people as possible and that cover the wide spectrum of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transident and intersexual life. Almost all employees of HOSI Salzburg work on a voluntary basis and in their free time. The number of permanent employees is currently 23 people; Another 20-30 volunteers are available for events. All in all, these people work more than 6000 hours a year.
