The Hirslanden Private Hospital Group consists of 17 hospitals – many of which have an outpatient surgical centre and an A&E department – and runs 17 radiology centres and five radiotherapy centres. This makes it the largest medical network in Switzerland.

Hirslanden's 17 hospitals cover almost every medical discipline. Orthopaedics, gynaecology/obstetrics, cardiology and internal medicine are the strongest specialities.

Technical equipment
Hirslanden clinics continually adjust their medical and technical equipment according to current developments. Every clinic is fully equipped with diagnostic instruments. Interventional radiology, computertomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MRI) are standard.

The system of affiliated doctors allows for a broad spectrum of specialised medical care. Patients can make their personal choice from 2'100 fully qualified doctors.

The private hospital group was formed in 1990 out of the merger of a number of private hospitals, and became part of the South African hospital group Mediclinic International Limited in 1990.
