FarOut, formerly known as Guthook Guides, is the leading creator of mobile app navigational guides for long-distance adventurers. Founders Paul Bodnar and Ryan Linn met while thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2010 and teamed up to launch their first product, "Guthook's Guide to the Pacific Crest Trail" for iPhone in 2012. Today FarOut is the No. 1 app for long-distance hiking, biking, and paddling, with over 100 detailed guides around the world. FarOut is rapidly expanding its long-distance bikepacking and road cycling guides with a focus on Australian routes. FarOut is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and is composed of a small team of experienced long-distance backpackers and hikers committed to partnering with trail organizations to create the highest quality navigational guides available.
