Founded to support the original Children's Hospital in 1870, The Board of Visitors and its past and present members have since dedicated themselves to the health and well-being of the patients and families entrusted to Children's National's care.\\Known for awarding grants and major gifts that propel innovative research and fund critical programs, The Board of Visitors provides strategic insight and support for the Children's National Health System. Through its two signature events, A Vintage Affair and the Care For Kids Fundraiser, The Board of Visitors leverages its community presence to support its vision of healthy futures for all children. To date, the Board has awarded grants and major gifts to the hospital totaling more than $9 million. These lasting investments and wise counsel, which contribute significantly to clinical excellence and scientific discovery at Children's National, will benefit children for generations to come.
