Sugar River Savings Bank was founded in 1895 by a group of local businessmen who saw the need for a local bank, managed by local people who were committed to the growth and prosperity of the community. As a mutual bank, headquartered in Newport, NH, we service the surrounding communities of Newport, Sunapee, New London, Grantham, Warner, Bradford and Concord. Sugar River Bank is known for two outstanding qualities – commitment to service and independence. Our mutual charter grants us the flexibility to help our communities grow and prosper, as our founders intended. We are able to take the long view of what's best for our customers.
