At St Ives we passionately believe in the benefits of single sex education. We are non-selective school with an outstanding record of guiding our pupils into their first choice of senior school, many with scholarships awarded.

We fully understand how girls excel in their own learning environment and the girls here thrive in the nurturing, encouraging atmosphere of the school. We provide small class sizes, subject specialist teachers and outstanding pastoral care; individuality is cherished and celebrated. Our dedicated and perceptive teaching team ensures that girls are appropriately challenged and progress at a pace that is right for them.

Our varied curriculum allows plenty of opportunity to discover and develop each girl's ability and talents in Sport, Art, Music, Drama, Languages and Technology as well as reaching her full academic potential. We are privileged to have wonderful grounds and offer Forest School as part of our curriculum.

Last year's Independent Schools Inspectorate report provides evidence of our achievements. We are extremely pleased with this report which demonstrates what a wonderful school St Ives is. The calibre of the education the children receive here, from early years all the way through to Year 6, has always been known to be strong. This report provides the external validation to evidence what people locally know to be true.

The federation with Haslemere Preparatory School for boys allows us to offer the best of both worlds - single sex education without compromise. This partnership provides parents with the same social, logistical and financial advantages of co-educational schools, but with the known benefits of single sex education.

We are part of the United Learning group which means we are truly independent backed up by the resources of a large educational provider.
