Who Are We?

Datalogics was born before PDFs even existed. And we get it – it's not the sexiest technology out there.

But let's go back a bit.

Founded in 1967 as a software consulting firm in the age of reel tapes and punch cards, think of us as the Gen X of PDF software. Our first product, DL Pager, focused on the exciting world of – wait for it! - typesetting, the precursor to graphic design systems.

Independent, flexible and self-reliant describes our software. Expert DIYers, we are resourceful and know how to get things done. We saw technology change at a geometric rate – and went right along with it!

After acquisitions too numerous to mention, Datalogics became part of Adobe Systems. When they decided to sell their Adobe PDF Library as its own product back in the late 90s, they had one very large company interested in it – but in a different programming language than what was offered at that time. They turned to Datalogics to get the job done – and we rose to the challenge!

Datalogics is now an Adobe Channel Partner and currently supports .NET, .NET Framework and Java in addition to the original C language. We've added command-line tools, other SDKs and InDesign Server to our product suite and focus on global OEM and SaaS customers. Our secret sauce is our knack for combining cutting-edge technologies with more expertise than we would like to admit we have.
