About
North Country Leisure is a not for profit charity, established in 1998 and we manage leisure centres and services on befalf of local councils including Copeland Borough Council and Eden District Council. We believe that the facilities we manage operate best when we work closely with the local community, which is why we have a local board of representatives in each area we work in.
In 2013, a new joint venture was set up in Northumberland between North Country Leisure and Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure, another charitable trust, to manage services for Northumberland County Council under one organisation. 'Active Northumberland' now operates leisure centres, sports development and GP referal schemes across North, West and South East Northumberland.
