Hexham Abbey has a long and illustrious history of being a major focal point for its local and wider community, bringing people together for over 1300 years. Welcoming over 100,000 visitors a year, the Abbey is a major tourist attraction in Northumberland and the focal point of the market town of Hexham. Entrance is free, offering a fantastic day out for all the family in conjunction with the numerous other attractions within the town and local area, such as the many sties along Hadrian's wall.

Alongside the historical treasures contained within the Abbey the venue offers an interactive exhibition and visitor centre, which tells the story of how the site was formed and developed over the years. The Refectory Cafe is a 50 cover thriving eatery with a wonderful courtyard outdoor area, it is available for private hire on request.

Hexham Abbey also offers numerous meetings rooms for hire, and is a popular choice for wedding receptions, conferences and meetings. Daily delegate rates start from the just £15.50 per head.
