About

Never Give Up Youth Healing Center (NGUYHC) serves clients with behavioral, emotional, psychiatric, and psychological disorders or conditions whose needs can no longer be met in acute or less restrictive care. Many of our clients experience moderate to severe emotional challenges. These include youth with bipolar disorders, depression, psychosis, self-harm, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention deficit, and attachment disorders.

Through a treatment team approach to care, NGUYHC offers a home-like setting with activities that require typical day-to-day decision-making and problem-solving in a safe and secure environment. Daily activities include a variety of therapies, academics, life skills training, service opportunities, and recreational activities to prepare clients for a successful and smooth transition to home, school, and community.

NGUYHC utilizes a sanctuary model of care. We are a family-centered, trauma-informed, outcome-oriented program that provides all modalities of psychotherapy. Our strength-based approach to treatment utilizes a strong cognitive and behavioral approach in our program. Treatment planning is always based on the individual needs of each child.

The vision of the Never Give Up Youth Healing Center is to prepare clients for a successful transition home by gaining the critical knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to become positive, contributing members of their families and communities, while continuing their treatment at a local outpatient provider for continuity of care.

The mission of the Never Give up Youth Healing Center is to provide resources, guidance, and encouragement to clients as they meet challenging personal, physical, and academic goals, enabling them to successfully function in school, at home, and their community.

The focus of Never Give Up Youth Healing Center is the successful transition and reintegration back into the home, school, and community.
