About
Literacy Council of Benton County (LCBC) is a Non-Profit agency increasing Adult Literacy by training volunteer tutors that teach students English reading skills. LCBC develops adult readers to build a stronger community. The Adult Basic Literacy Program is designed for adults who lack English reading, writing and speaking competence. This program helps adults gain confidence and increase function in society. The ESL program helps adults with limited English speaking and reading skills. The Volunteer Literacy Tutors of LCBC teach reading, writing and speaking English to adults in one on one settings. They help non-English speakers improve their reading and speaking skills.
