In 1952, founders Frank Garcher and Wally Simmers combined their passion for model airplanes to develop a thriving business devoted to providing high quality products to the hobby, craft and educational marketplace.
In 2016, Midwest Products merged with Saunders Manufacturing to form Saunders Midwest LLC. Today, Saunders Midwest carries the tradition of providing the same quality Balsa and Basswood sheets and strips. Making Saunders Midwest the worldwide supplier of quality raw materials, accessories and kits to distributors and retailers.
