About

CICA is a multi-national forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia. Consisting of 28 Member States, 10 Observer States, and 5 Observer Organizations, it is a forum based on the recognition that there is a close link between peace, security and stability in Asia and in the rest of the world. The organization's Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) are categorized under five broad domains: economic dimension, environmental dimension, human dimension, new challenges and threats, and military-political dimension. Member States have volunteered to act as coordinators for implementing specific projects of confidence building measures, dealing with issues such as terrorism, border control management, human trafficking and transnational crime, development of secure and effective systems of transportation corridors, combating illicit drugs, natural disaster management, energy security, development of small and medium enterprises, tourism, agriculture, finance and sustainable development.
