About
Rete Pictor is a NGO whose aim is to develop and manage a project of common interest in the spaces of Villa Angaran San Giuseppe, in Bassano del Grappa, owned by the Jesuits. Rete Pictor, which is in charge of the Villa and its park, consists of the social cooperatives Conca d'Oro, Adelante and Luoghi Comuni. Within the Villa and its park, they develop, promote and support activities open to all citizens, together with educational, training and work activities that are in keeping with the spirit of the place and the organisations that have custody of it. This is so that the Villa does not remain an immovable monumental reference point, but rather, like the Pictor in Herman Hesse's ‘Tale of Love' from which the network takes its name, is always capable of transforming, reviving and constantly participating in the becoming of the territory. The desire is to promote paths characterised by strong elements of dignity, legality and beauty, in the fields of work, culture, social justice and support and accompaniment for disabilities and social and family hardship of various kinds. Today, the Villa has a day centre for people with disabilities, a day community for minors, the TODOMODO bar and pizzeria, a grocery shop, a guest house with 40 beds, a meditation centre and spaces for training and business workshops.
