About
Leonidas Rafaelian is a well known violin maker maestro, former viola player in Cremona.
His stringed instruments are widely prized for their harmony of form, their aesthetic beauty, the transparence of his varnishes, the sound, the profound timbre, the great care of details, the delicate scroll.
He has collaborated with many famous musicians the most important of which is Mstislav Rostropovich. Recently Roby Lakatos plays his violin on his world tour concerts.
Leonidas Rafaelian is member of the Antonio Stradivari Consortium of Violin Makers, as well as the Italian Violin Making Association (ALI). He currently operates a workshop at the centre of Cremona.
