TDI's vision is to be a leading independent transmission provider for the North American market utilizing HVdc technology.

TDI believes that in order for power markets to work efficiently and effectively there must be sufficient transmission to allow the lowest cost generation to meet the needs of consumers. In today's market, there are acute transmission bottlenecks that are causing prices to rise to consumers, hindering renewable generation projects, and impeding the efficient operations of AC systems. Utilizing best in class HVdc technology, not only do our projects deal with these three critically important issues, they do so in an environmentally responsible manner with a minimal visual impact to communities.

The Champlain Hudson Power Express is an innovative energy transmission line that will bring safe, secure, affordable, renewable energy to New York. The line will be a High Voltage direct current (HVdc) cable that will be placed in waterways or buried along railway routes to minimize impacts to local communities and the environment.
