Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Clinic of the Cascades provides healthcare on a donation basis to uninsured and underserved, working adults in Central Oregon
We use a community approach, where around 200 in-clinic volunteers and over 300 local medical partners collaborate to provide patients with necessary primary and specialty medical care, prescription medications, mental health care, and/or basic dental care.
VIM's patients are 19 years of age or older. The majority have one or more chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, or mental health diagnoses. All of these conditions are manageable with medical oversight and access to care.
At VIM, patient costs of about $100 per month are funded by patient donations along with local and regional supporters. We do not receive payment from patients or insurers, nor do we receive government support.
