Hola Babies!

My name is Araceli, but everyone calls me Cely. I was born in Jalisco, Mexico. When I turned 5 my parents moved my five sisters, my brother and me to Valencia, California for a better life. I'm forever grateful for the sacrifices they made for us by moving to the United States.

Growing up, I was always interested in makeup. My earliest makeup memory is from elementary school. A friend gifted me a small lipstick, I wore it on my bus ride home, quickly snuck into my room, and quickly threw it out the window when I heard my mother's voice. With time my mother saw that makeup was an inevitable part of my life and began to accept it more and more. As did my incredibly patient sisters, who were always a willing test canvas for the self-taught beautician of the house.

In high school I miraculously convinced my mother to allow me to attend an occupational program for Cosmetology. In addition to a full class load and a part time job, I spent every free hour after school and on weekends going to Cosmetology school. Since then I've been a licensed Cosmetologist and freelance makeup artist.

I've always dreamed of starting my own makeup brand where the products were wallet-friendly, performed great and were easy to use. Creating Araceli Beauty is my way of sharing two things I love… my culture and love for makeup. After what feels like a lifetime working on these products, I am so excited to share them with you.
