DV Medical Supply was founded by Neal Hyams as Discount Vet Medical nearly four decades ago and took its current name in 1984. In 2005, Mr. Hyams'​ wife, Dr. Stephanie Ferguson, DVM, joined the company, and she has overseen revenue growth since. Dr. Ferguson has extensive experience in the medical industry, earning her professional qualifications at the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine. She has also been twice appointed to the California Veterinary Medical Board.
