Founded in 1975, Lyon Studios is located next to the legendary Crab Cooker restaurant, on the Newport Beach peninsula. Our building, a charming 1932 warehouse, shares a scenic bay view with the adjacent rustic shipyard. Considered the heart of the Gold Coast, Newport Beach is surrounded by world-class hotels and restaurants, with John Wayne Airport (SNA) just 10 minutes away.

The "OC" is a perfect place to shoot year round. The average yearly temperature is 72 degrees with only occasional rainfall. Our ideal setting allows us to simulate almost any environment including urban, city, tropical beach, mountain and forest, desert, and every imaginable architecture both interior and exterior. Our affiliation with the Orange County Film Commission keeps us connected with every available resource in the area. Orange County is a FILM FRIENDLY community with permits and location fees only a fraction of what Hollywood charges. We cater to International ad agencies, Fortune 500 companies, as well as small creative design firms and everything in-between.

We have an in-house award-winning producer, editorial department, motion graphics, and state of the art recording studio with ISDN and SourceConnect. This one stop shop concept is designed to save time and money during the production process.
