Shamsul Alamin Group (SAG) is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh whose journey commenced back in 1958 after the legendary and ambitious Late Al Haj A.K Shamsul Alamin, a young man at the time and a law graduate, quit his secured government job and pursued his vision, his dream of conquering the business world.
SAG then became one of the first in the country to enter the Primary Textile market in 1983, forming the company Shamsul Alamin Cotton Mills Ltd. To this day, the textile division of SAG continues to dominate the yarn market despite strong competition. Presently, our primary textile division has the capacity to produce more than 100,000 spindles or 30 tons of yarn per day.
SAG entered the real estate market in 1992 under the name Shamsul Alamin Real Estate Ltd (SARE) with the mission to provide better homes for a better life and is now one of the most renowned developers in the country.
With the passage of time, the progressive and innovative spirit of SAG has been spearheaded by the later generations, pioneering in more diverse fields of business such as leather, edible oil refinery, RMG exports, financial services, trading and retailing.
