About

Cantonment College Jashore was established in 1969. The institution is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a number of military and civilian personnel, under the overall supervision of the Bangladesh Army and headed by a senior officer. It has gained recognition as one of the best educational institutions in the country due to its high standards of education, achievements and discipline.

The total number of students in the college is more than 5000. For the creative development of students Rover Scout, BNCC Army Wing, BNCC Air Wing, Duke of Edinburgh's Award as well as various club activities such as: Language Learning Club, English Language Club, Science Club, Mathematics Club, Debating Club, ICT Club, Photography Club, Media Club, Taekwondo Club, Swimming club, Cultural club and gymnasium activities are taken up. The college conducts written tests (model tests) to prepare students who wish to join the army. Besides, they get regular practice opportunities at the ISSB practice ground in the college grounds.

In 2015, the college was brought under the control of the entire army which is a landmark change. At present the college has been transformed into a full-fledged public college, the main patron of which is the GOC of the 55th Infantry Division. Cantonment College Jashore is one of the largest cantonment colleges run by the Bangladesh Army. The educational activities of the college are conducted under the direct supervision of the Board of Directors, under the National University and the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Jashore.
