About
Tellus uses the power of plants to help solve the pressing problem of disposable plastic waste.
We are based in Belle Glade, Florida where we convert domestic and imported plant fibers into compostable food packaging products such as plates, bowls, take-out containers, and trays. Tellus is jointly owned by Florida Crystals Corporation, Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida and American Sugar Refining, Inc., part of ASR Group.
Our first manufacturing facility is co-located with our LEED certified®, LEED Silver® office building which is partially powered by a solar panel array located on top of the manufacturing facility. Our passion for the planet drives our continual innovation to create plastic alternative plant-based packaging products.
