Ingenium created the pioneering Orphan Chemical Program that arranges for the transfer of title and shipment of useable hazardous chemicals (that otherwise would be treated as waste) to new owners. In California, Ingenium established the Emerald Energy Program, wherein biological, hazardous, and other waste types traditionally suitable for landfill disposal or incineration are used to power local and state electrical grids.

In addition to these established programs, Ingenium is researching and innovating new ways to recycle or reuse biohazardous materials formerly considered only suitable for landfill.
