Founder Lindsay Gowland grew up near Mobile Bay – one of two location in the world where the natural phenomenon, known as a jubilee, occurs. A jubilee is a celebrated event on Mobile Bay that only happens on warm, summer nights and attracts large crowds, drawn by the abundance of marine life that comes right up to the shore. Aside from the natural phenomenon, in its more common usage, a jubilee refers to "a celebration".

jubilee was thus born to both pay homage to the Southern roots of our company while also celebrating the joy of childhood!
