About

In 1972, Dr. Paul Vanaman and Dixie Baptist Church felt the Lord's leading in the area of Christian education and started Springfield Christian Academy. Springfield grew rapidly, and soon The Children's Ark Child Development Center was also started to provide families with even more Christ-centered opportunities. Today we are proud to serve children from 6-weeks of age all the way through twelfth grade!

Our school is a ministry of Dixie Baptist Church, and therefore, our school and daycare center operate under the church's Biblical doctrine and leadership. Our faculty and staff members support our values and Bible-based practices, providing a unity uncommon in many other educational settings.

We believe that philosophy determines what people do, what they learn, and what they become. In this learning environment, we refute the humanistic-evolutionary philosophy of our society by teaching children from a Christ-centered, Bible-based approach. All our school subjects are taught from this perspective and also include the academic rigor expected in private education. Truth belongs to our Creator, and it is only through the wisdom and knowledge of Him that we can expect to enjoy a life worth living!
