The IT Environmental Liquidating Trust (ITELT) was established on May 1, 2004 (as part of concluding bankruptcy proceedings for IT Corporation) to oversee the long-term post-closure operation, maintenance and upkeep of four closed hazardous waste landfill facilities located in Northern California.
The ITELT operates as a small business Trust funded by former IT Corporation and does not use public money. The ITELT provides local jobs for professional and technical positions for those who care about protecting the environment. The ITELT consists of a handful of dedicated employees with site specific operational knowledge.
