About

Ohio County Public Library is a counyt-wide library system serving a population of nearly 6,000. It is supported through tax revenues and private donations. We currently have two library buildings. The old Carnegie Building was built in 1916 with funds from Andrew Carnegie. It currently houses our non-circulating vintage materials, local history, genealogy and microfilm newspapers and equipment. The new bulding was open in the fall of 2007. We serve about 1,700 active patrons, maintain a circulating library collection of 35,000 items including books, magazines, audio books and DVD's and open open every day except Sunday.
