About
Fasa University of Medical Sciences was established in 1977. Since 1994, it has been operating as an independent faculty under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and was promoted to the University of Medical Sciences in 2007.
he university is located in southeastern Fars, and is more than 40 years old. Fasa University of Medical Sciences now has medical, paramedical, health and nursing schools, which accommodates more than 1,100 students in the fields of Specialty (Internal Medicine, Radiology), Medicine, master's degree in (physiology, Biochemistry, Food Safety and Hygiene, Medical Surgical Nursing and biotechnology), bachelor in (Nursing, laboratory Sciences, Anesthesia, Surgical Technology and Public Health) and Associate Degree in (Emergency Medical Technics).
Fasa University of Medical Sciences has 90 faculty members, 1098 students, 1962 staff members and has eight vice chancellery including education, research and technology, student and cultural, development and resource, health, treatment, food and medicine and traditional medicine.
Other parts of the university include medical information center, self-service center, gymnasium, 6 training halls, 3 conference halls, 1 amphitheater for 160 people, 17 classrooms, 11 laboratories, 1 meeting room for 200 people, 7 educational units and 2 active teaching hospitals, three clinics and two research centers (cohort and non-communicable disease center).
The university has medical facilities such as: MRI, 16-Slice CT scan, open heart surgery center, extracorporeal crusher, angiography, advanced and well-equipped surgery rooms, Prenatal Care Center, Maternity and Postpartum Care, Bone density assay, Color Doppler ultrasound, Dental Clinic, Dental Clinic, Ophthalmology, Adult and infant care beds, Specialist and specialized clinics, Blood and oncology clinics, Research and laboratory referral laboratories, Health Center for Traditional Medicine and Cohort Demographic Research Center.
