About
The Aerospace Technology College or what is known as STTKD was founded on October 1 1994. Domiciled in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. In the history of its founding, STTKD cannot be separated from the role of a former figure, Governor of the Republic of Indonesia Air Force Academy, Marshal TNI (Ret.) Udin Kurniadi, S.E., M.M.
STTKD, which is under the auspices of the Citra Dirgantara Foundation, was inspired by the Coordinator of Kopertis Region V Yogyakarta, Ir. Sutojo Tjokrodihardjo, M.Sc as invited guest, while attending the invitation to the inauguration of the Governor of AAU Marsda TNI Udin Kurniadi, S.E., M.M. on April 23 1994. At that meeting, Ir. Sutojo Tjokrodihardjo, M.Sc emphasized that in Yogyakarta there are no private universities operating in the aviation sector, so it is very fitting that AAU is willing to establish one.
Without thinking twice, Marsda TNI Udin Kurniadi, S.E., M.M rushed to carry out a more in-depth study. He wanted to establish a university as an offering to the Air Force because at that time it was predicted that there would be a shortage of officers in the Indonesian Air Force. As a result of the thinking, it was concluded that the potential for getting professional lecturers is quite good because of the existence of AAU, Lanud, UGM and other large private universities.
On April 29 1995 a Letter of Recommendation came down from Kopertis regarding the establishment of STTKD. Five months after the Kopertis Recommendation was issued, the implementation permit for STTKD was issued with No: 089/D/O/1995 dated 27 November 1995 and registered status. Thus, the STTKD lecture process begins.
