"SPAR Iran was established in summer 2018, with the aim of enabling independent retailers and wholesalers to work together under the SPAR brand and benefit consumers in the domestic market from a world-class shopping experience. The company was attracted to the brand because of SPAR's focus on sharing best practices among SPAR partners, profound retail expertise and knowledge of more than 8 decades and partnering with independents retailers around the world. The exclusive license to operate under the SPAR brand was granted by SPAR International, the world's largest food retail voluntary chain with a licensed presence in more than 48 countries worldwide. SPAR Iran has locally headquartered in Tehran and to date has a dedicated team under the management of international and local experts."

اسپار ایران در تابستان سال ۱۳۹۷ تاسیس شد، با این هدف که امکان کار مشترک تحت برند اسپار را برای عمده‌فروشان و خرده‌فروشان مستقل فراهم کرده و مصرف‌کنندگان داخلی را از تجربه خریدی در سطوح بالای جهانی بهره‌مند سازد. جذابیت برند اسپار برای این شرکت به دلیل تمرکز اسپار بر به اشتراک گذاشتن بهترین روش‌های کار بین شرکا و برخورداری از تخصص بالا در خرده‌فروشی و نیز دانش عمیق بر پایه مشارکت با واحدهای مستقل در سراسر دنیا در طی بیش از هشت دهه بوده است.

شرکت اسپار اینترنشنال که بزرگ‌ترین زنجیره داوطلبانه خواربارفروشی دنیا بوده و در ۴۸ کشور دنیا مجوز فعالیت دارد، گواهی فعالیت تحت برند اسپار را در اختیار شرکت اسپار ایران قرار داده است. دفتر مرکزی اسپار ایران در تهران واقع شده است و تا به امروز تیمی تحت سرپرستی و نظارت متخصصان بین‌المللی و داخلی را در استخدام خود دارد.
