MUEHLSTEIN was founded in 1911, and grew as a private enterprise to market leader until becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobil Chemical Company from 1980 until 1996. For the following 10 years, MUEHLSTEIN achieved global market leadership as an employee owned Company, until being purchased by Ravago in September 2006.
