Behind ancient walls on a green hill in the middle of the city there is a rich world of historical, cultural and entertaining content. Every time you want to be closer to the sun, or whenever you need a different view of the world, food for the soul or a delicious meal, it's the right time to climb up to the Ljubljana Castle.

You can ascend to the Ljubljana Castle by the funicular railway, on foot or by your own transport. Access for people with reduced mobility is also possible by the funicular railway and throughout most of the castle premises.

The Ljubljana Castle Public Institution also manages Hostel Celica in the very centre of the capital.
