The General Hospital of Kavala is included in the National Health Service System, and belongs to the 4th Health Region of Macedonia and Thrace, with goal to provide primary and secondary care equally to all citizens, regardless of economic, social and professional status.
The objective of the General Hospital of Kavala is to provide high quality health services, in the context of equal access and utilization of services. It employs a large number of specialized doctors, trained nurses, paramedical and helpful administrative staff, who are always at your disposal to meet your needs with responsible care and consistency.
The Community's operational program "Psychargos", which aims for the integration and rehabilitation of persons with mental illnesses in the labor market, also operates, with a guesthouse of ten inmates. There is also a Middle Nursing School, whose studies last 2 years.
The General Hospital of Kavala is one of the largest nursing units in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. For many years, it provides medical care and health services as a pioneer institution in terms of equal and direct access, efficiency, organization and quality health care while responding to the best possible way to ever increasing demands of citizens.

The vision and mission of the General Hospital of Kavala is translated into strategies and objectives that will set the basis for developing plans and programs that will be implemented in the next three year period. Its vision is to be recognized as an institution of high standards with regard to:
