AK Industrial Contractors, Inc. was incorporated in 1981 in Searcy, Arkansas, to provide contracting services to companies looking for an expert team of professionals that could provide a turn-key approach to plant relocation projects and handle their assets as if they were their own. AK established it's reputation in the industry and saw the era of the manufacturing plants moving to Mexico, so we took advantage of the convenience of having a location there.

In 1998, AK opened its first branch in Monterrey, Mexico as AK Contratistas Industriales Mexico, S.A. de C.V. servicing a host of businesses that benefited from the NAFTA treaty between Mexico, Canada and the U.S. That decision has proved worthwhile as AK has helped customers move "south of the border" in a quick, efficient and safe manner.

AK has earned respect and built relationships with top manufacturers, demonstrating a reputation for fair and ethical service. Thirty-seven years later, the staff has over 170 combined years of specialized experience in Plant Relocations and Equipment Installation and is continuously training and growing to best serve their client's needs.
