Our farms are built from repurposed shipping containers and equipped with LED lighting, soil-less hydroponic systems, and proprietary software and technologies to create an automated controlled environment. The resiliency of our farms allows us to grow crops year-round, regardless of climate and seasonal conditions. It's the perfect day, every day, inside our farms.

Our recipe for delicious produce is only water, light, and nutrients. We use zero pesticides or chemicals of any kind!

Our farms are located at regional food distribution points, which drastically reduces food transportation miles and emissions while increasing produce freshness, flavor, and nutrition. In fact, Vertical Roots lettuce is in the hands of consumers within 1-3 days of harvest.
